About JK Hazir
Know before you go.
JK Hazir is an independent civic initiative for Kashmir Division, Jammu & Kashmir, created with a simple idea: before a citizen travels to a government office, they should be able to know whether the officer they need is reported to be available.
Why JK Hazir?
For many people, visiting a Tehsil office is not a small task. A person may have to travel from their village or town, arrange transport, take time away from work or studies, and spend hours reaching an office. After all that effort, they may find that the concerned officer is on leave, on field duty, expected later, or otherwise unavailable. The citizen may then have no choice but to return another day.
JK Hazir aims to reduce this uncertainty by making reported officer availability easier to check before making the journey.
A simple connection between citizens and offices
Government officials are public servants, and citizens often need their services for important matters relating to land, revenue and other public services. JK Hazir does not question or judge why an officer is unavailable. Leave, field duty, official assignments and other circumstances are part of government work.
The purpose is simply to provide citizens with useful, timely information about reported availability, so they can plan their visit accordingly.
How it works
The process is simple:
Select a District → Select a Tehsil → Find the officer → Check the reported status
Depending on the Tehsil, JK Hazir may list Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Patwaris, Girdawars and other Tehsil-level officers. The status may indicate whether an officer is reported as available, on leave, on field duty, expected later, or otherwise unavailable.
This allows a citizen to check the information before leaving home and decide whether to proceed with the visit or make other arrangements.
Information, not a replacement for official communication
JK Hazir is intended to make officer-availability information easier for citizens to access. It does not replace government websites, official notices, office communication or any other official source. The information shown on JK Hazir should therefore be understood as reported availability information, not as an official government order or notification.
Where public reports or comments are enabled, citizens may also share information about an officer's availability. Such submissions may be reviewed before being displayed and should not automatically be considered official or verified information.
For important or time-sensitive matters, citizens should verify the information with the concerned government office.
An independent civic initiative
JK Hazir is not an official website of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, any government department, district administration, or other government authority. It is an independent initiative focused on a practical civic need:
Helping citizens know before they go.
JK Hazir currently focuses on Kashmir Division.
